ONKYO TX-RZ820 Review

I’ve owned every receiver from the B&K to a Harman Kardon to the Sony ES, the 4k Onkyo reciever is definitely top dog build quality could probably use a little bit more but a for the price great deal the only complaint I have is they actually went too simple with the menu I know there used to be complicated but I mean we can’t even change the speakers from small to large or any of that the remote is just all basic it’s kind of for dummies I would like to have a little bit more control really but other than that the sound is absolutely fantastic the switching from sources is fantastic that’s the only thing I just wish we had a little bit more control not all of us are idiots when it comes to receiver but great product

The Music Made Easy with Chromecast built-in Stream any music from my smartphone, laptop, or PC to the Onkyo TX-RZ820 with ease. Control playback with Chromecast enabled apps you know and love from your iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook. The DTS Play-Fi is a wireless protocol that works with my audio app seamlessly, on mobiles and PC. Flick whatever’s playing to the receiver, even different sources to different components at the same time. The premium RZ Series A/V receivers deliver a significant boost to the dynamism, detail, and accuracy of music and movie soundtracks for a listening experience that packs deep emotional impact. The TX-RZ820 features quality components, such as large custom capacitors, to provide high instantaneous current for fast transients and wideband frequency response down to 5 Hz. Discrete non-phase-shift amp circuits clearly focus the audio image and cut distortion even at room vibrating volumes.

The THX Certified Select guarantees the same high-volume sound you experience at a commercial theater. To gain certification, amplifiers must pass the industry’s most severe bench-tests covering every aspect of audio performance. THX Certified Select components are ideally suited to rooms where the screen-to-seat viewing distance is approximately 3 meters, and the room volume is approximately 57 cubic meters.
